Upon first being posted to the USS Pharoah, Stidd found himself in an unusual set of curcumstances. The Captain had been
injured and was not available to meet Stidd upon his arrival. Then, a short time later, Stidd himself takes a myserious leave
of absence. During this leave, Capt. Andy Terrence is killed in the line of duty, and Stidd never had the opportunity to
know the man in the center seat.
Mysterious Leave Of Absence Explained
Mr. Stidd received a subspace communique from a gentleman identifying himself as Tomure and inviting Stidd to meet with him
regarding the disappearance of Stidds son. Stidd took this information to Captain Andy Terrence who approved the LOA. Unbeknownst
to Stidd or to Capt. Terrence, Tomure is a lifeform known as a Guardian and comes from the closed world known to the Federation
Council as Gateway. Stidds presence on the planet almost ended his career in Star Fleet as well as that of Nancy Fowlers
when she showed her readiness to take Stidd to Vulcan rather than bring him back for trial, a trial that never happened.
Tomure intervened with the Federation Council and had the charges against Stidd dropped, and never revealed what Nancy herself
was ready to do on behalf of her crew. Tomures people have since petitioned the Council through the Captain of the Pharoah
to become full members of the Federation. Their petition is pending the councils decision as debates rage on regarding whether
or not to reveal this lifeform to the rest of the universe.
Update: Tomure and the Guardians have temporarily suspended their petition, in order to more closely evaluate the operations
of the SF and the UFP. Stidd's son, meanwhile was found and had to undergo serious hospitalization. The repair work was
extensive but it left Semaj without full control of his emotions. More will come as it is available.
Star Fleet has classified this record as level Alpha 3 clearance, therefore no discussion
of this information without SF approval is allowed.
Working under the Captain nicknamed the Tiger of Calcutta:
Captain Nancy Fowler is fair and understanding, just dont cross her or her nickname will become a reality for you. Mr. Stidd
finds himself having to work hard at remembering the tiger that lies in wait under the surface with this captain. Nancy,
formerly the XO on the Pharoah, has had a time of it coming to grips with the death of Andy Terrence, Captain and long time
friend, and now to have the command that he had for a good while weighs heavy on her, but she bears the weight with dignity
and pride. Stidds records show that on more than one occasion she was willing to put her career in Star Fleet on the line
for him and others. To learn about her bad side, just ask certain members of Star Fleet Intelligence, like one Elam. "She
is definately one you don't want to cross, as she made perfectly clear to me. It took everything I had to remind myself that
we were on the same side and she was only trying to protect her ship." Stidd has stated for this record that he finds
her a "Competent officer with a logic all her own that would rival any Vulcans. It is an honor to serve under her and
at her side."
The latest information from SF is that Capt. Fowler is transfering to another ship. Who that leaves for the Pharoah is
anyones guess at this point. The response from the crew seems to be mixed. Stidd will only say "If this is what satisfies
her then I am behind her fully and completely."
The Man with the Midas Touch:
Captain Fowlers replacement was no stranger to the bridge of the Pharaoh, for Jakob Braun had served on her with Nancy and
Andy and they had formed a strong bond of friendship during that time. Jakob seemed to have the Midas Touch with his crew
as they bonded so quickly and would go to the ends of the universe for him. He ran that ship with care and patience and with
a love for the crew that few would ever know. His "death" was in defense of the Federation and he went out just
the way he wanted to, by all the normal accounts, that is. The fact of the matter is that Braun has advanced to a different
level of life as one member of the Federation Council put it. "He will need to be taught how to use his new found gifts,
but in time he will master even those." No one is discussing just where he is and it appears that even this is classified.
The enigma in the center seat:
Magnus Von Krieg is the purest example of an enigma, as his past is shrouded in the mystery of Star Fleet Classification.
Upon arriving on the Pharaoh, Stidd tried to learn all he could about his new CO. All he did was hit one brick wall after
another. This much has been learned by this office, however. Magnus Von Krieg was born and raised on New Prussia and for
a while he even served in the NPP Militia. Most of his Star Fleet career is classified and is not accessable by this office.
He does conduct his ship in an orderly and clean fashion and is CO. of the Pharaoh to this stardate. Stidd replied that
"Von Krieg is a captain with extreme depth of emotion for his crew as well as for others. He is a man of deep passion
and once his mind is made up, there is not much that can change it." Magnus VonKriegs ride in the center seat
ended in what some would call a disgrace. In the course of a courtmartial, he was ordered to relinquish the center seat.
He had been charged with destruction of Federation property, namely, the runabout, the U.S.S. Ohio, during an unauthorized
mission leading his crew on same, thereby making everyone, AWOL. He is now in command of the outpost, 1138, where the Pharaoh
calls home.
The Man Who Would Be King:
Next to hold the center seat was Lance McPhee. Captain McPhee has made a name for himself in the office of Planetary
Relations. Lance has a strong background in military strategems and logistics, having held a post in both of those offices
as well. He does, however seem to lack the field experience one might think would be invaluable in the situations that the
Pharaoh seems so prone to get itself into. Only time will tell if this young man is truly ready for the center seat.
The scientist trained for battle:
Trelan Drukkar has survived the occupation of Bajor and grew up to be a scientist. His career in Starfleet is a
long and glorious one having accomplished much in the fields of Stellar Cartography and microxenobiology. He is married
to Adm. Royce, and might someday have a family, but today he finds his family to be that of the crew of the Pharaoh.
Under him, Stidd was Promoted to 2nd Officer and given command of Gamma shift. He is a scientist at heart, but one who
knows the value of the ability to fight as is proven by his taking on a Klingon General recently assigned to the Pharaoh in
the role of Civilian advisor. It is not clear who, if anyone, won the fight but what is clear is that he quickly gained
the respect of the Klingon and gained an invaluable member to the crew.
